Overview

The walk is a pleasant route connecting the villages known as 'The Worthys'.  We set off from the Recreation Car Park at Kings Worthy and walk via Abbots Worthy towards the village of Easton . From here we follow the River Itchen which we cross in the direction of Chilland Cottages and  over the dismantled Railway. The focus is Itchen Abbass and the Plough Inn for lunch. The morning is about 6 miles and lunch is 12.15. The afternoon follows the Itchen Way via Martyr Way and back to Kings Worthy a total of 8.5 mikes. The walk includes pathways, roads and open fields but is largely flat and leisurely .
