🌿 Woodland Wander: Exploring Toadsmoor Valley and Beyond

Time: Meet at 9:45 AM for a prompt 10:00 AM start
Start Point: Phoenix Mill, London Road, GL5 2BU (Near Stroud Brewery - ample parking available)
Join us for a refreshing Sunday hike through the scenic landscapes around Stroud. This 8-mile trek promises a delightful mix of woodlands, rolling countryside, and quaint hamlets, offering picturesque views and a moderate challenge.

Route Overview:
Our journey begins at Phoenix Mill, leading us up Thrupp Lane into the tranquil woods of Toadsmoor Valley. We'll then traverse through Hawkley Wood for a midday break amidst nature's beauty. Continuing onwards, we'll pass through Bournes Green and Oldhills Wood before descending into Chalford, where stone walls and wildflowers adorn the path, offering breathtaking views across Golden Valley. Finally, we'll wind down along the historic canal towpath back to Stroud Brewery for those who wish to unwind with an optional drink.
What to Bring:
👉 Membership Details: This walk is organized by Ramblers and is free to join. Consider becoming a member after a few enjoyable walks with us.
👟 Attire and Footwear: Dress appropriately for the weather, and sturdy walking boots are highly recommended.
