Meet at 9:45 AM at Stonehouse Train Station (train from Gloucester/Cheltenham is due at 9:52 - I’ll wait for it if it’s on time; otherwise, we’ll head off promptly).
🚶♂️ Route Highlights:
- Starting from Stonehouse, we’ll follow the Cotswold Way through Standish Wood.
- Enjoy sweeping views from Haresfield Beacon, including the Iron Age hill fort.
- Our route takes us back through scenic farmland and the old oak around Stroud Green.
📏 Distance:
14 km (8.5 miles) with varied terrain.
🥾 Essentials:
- Walking boots are highly recommended due to some long grass and potentially muddy areas.
- Pack a lunch for a scenic break along the way.
