Starting from Abbey Village,  we will skirt Rakes Brook and Roddlesworth reservoirs before climbing up to Darwen  Tower. We decent past Earnsdale reservoir and return via the Tockholes plantation to the start.

No stiles, but plenty of uneven rocky paths which may be muddy.
