Overview

Starting from the Round Tower, the walk goes up the hill to Pitmedden East. We then follow forest tracks to Pitmedden West. We then follow the track to the south of Castle Law to Ayton Woods. The return is made along the upper track running along Castle Law taking us to the Abernethy Glen and the return to the village.

Local grade: C+ OS map: 58 Limited parking near Tower, look for parking around village e.g. near Corn Kist.  Also possible to park at the Primary School. Note if taking the bus use the 36 leaving Perth Bus Station at 0907 arriving  at Abernethy at 0940
