The Den of Alyth is currently closed due to a major landslip. The original route has had to be revised. It is still a linear walk from Alyth but we will reach Drimmie Woods via a track through the berry fields past Muirton Farm before we head to Blairgowrie via Craighall. The climb to Drimmie is sustained but not particularly steep.
A varied walk with good views and interesting corners. Most of the tracks and paths are in good condition but are wet and slippery after the recent bad weather. Although this route is a bit longer than previously, it does mean we avoid one section of road walking.

This is a bus friendly walk. No 57 bus from Mill Street, Perth departs 9.08 arrives Alyth 10.04. The main party will catch the bus at the Wellmeadow, Blairgowrie at 9.50. Remember bus passes.
Poles highly recommended after recent wet weather.
Toilets available in Blairgowrie.
