This is a high level walk from High Bradfield to Wisewood, with fine views on a clear day over the Loxley Valley and into Bradfield Dale.
The route will be from High Bradfield, passing Castle Hill, Cliffe House Farm, Holdworth, Low Ash, Loxley Common, and finishing at Wisewood. Relatively easy, as it starts high and ends low, though there are some undulations on the way, before descending gradually over Loxley Common and taking a short foot path into Wisewood. There are a couple of old stone stiles. Expect wet and muddy conditions underfoot.
Catch 62 bus from Hillsborough Interchange, at 10.15. Use Blue or Yellow route tram from Cathedral to get there, at least half an hour before then. Car users can park around Hillsborough, or in Malin Bridge Park and Ride, as the bus passes there a few minutes after 10.15. Walk ends at 52A (every half hour), bus stop on Ben Lane. Buses will be re-checked nearer the time in case of Xmas changes. There is an option of walking an extra half mile down Hallowmoor Road to Malin Bridge tram stop.
