The Meirionnydd Ramblers are a friendly and welcoming group. We offer regular and varied walks in the wonderful countryside in and around southern Snowdonia.
An afternoon walk from Llanelltyd following the morning’s AGM. Our route crosses the Afon Mawddach on the old road bridge, then follows quiet lanes and old trackways across fields, to reach Llyn Cynwch. We make a circuit of the lake, then return to the lane where we have the choice of retracing our steps to the start or taking an alternative route past the old golf course. Weather permitting, we should have panoramic views across Dolgellau to Cader Idris from parts of the route.
Group grade C+
5 or 6 mile options available. For the shorter 5 mile version of the walk, park at the SNPA car park which is passed after the first half mile of the walk.
