Overview

Undulating scenery in this chalk stream valley. Starting in Russell Gardens, we climb up steadily through woodland with good views to the top of the valley before dropping down into the village of Alkham. Then ascend to the other side crossing by the medieval ruins of the Abbey of St Radigunds, now a working farm. Descend into River and back into picturesque Kearsney Park. Please note there are some steepish climbs up each side of the valley \nRefreshments in the park cafe or The Fox pub in Lower Road, Temple Ewell. Own reservations.
