We are the Ponteland Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Allensford, we head south to Castleside and The Sycamores, heading to the Hownsgill Viaduct via the Waskerley Way. Then North to The Grove, back down to the River Derwent, returning to the car park via the path alongside the river.
Walk level moderate. Well defined paths, few steps in the wood, a small amount of road walking. There is a longish climb up to The Sycamores.
Lunch stop at the river before returning to the car park.
