This peaceful walk follows the Tweed upstream for several miles, passing below Neidpath Castle and using part of the old railway line to Broughton.
At Lyne Station we cross over onto the other side of the river, wend our way through the Barns estate woodland and field paths before returning to the river downstream for a short time. We then tackle the only hill of this walk, a short but steepish road climb up to the viewpoint at Manor Sware. Thereafter back down to the river and Peebles.
Some steps, wooden stiles, some rougher walking below Neidpath
Max 15 walkers: please contact the leader, Cath Norman, by Tuesday evening 22nd if you wish to join the walk and if you can offer to drive or if you need a lift from LNRS.
