Overview

This is a good winter walk that includes something of the transition zone where the Peak District's gritstone and limestone regions meet. More dramatically, the limestone forms the sheer cliffs towering over Wolfscote Dale,  giving a theatrical Peakland landscape. Most of the walk has slight inclines however, there is a steep ascent from Cold Eaton bridge towards the end of the walk.
