Overview

This 7.25 mile  walk starts from Altrincham Metrolink and reaches the Bollin valley through suburban Hale.  It continues across the M56 to Ashley and shortly after, through the Ashley Estate  to the river, where there will be a lunch stop close to the Into the Wild coffee stand. Back then across the river at Ashley Mill and through paths and streets back to the start.

Some gentle slopes, both up and down.  Mud can be expected, and there are some short sections of quite slippery cobbles.  Refreshments available at start and finish in Altrincham, and at Into The Wild (may be busy if its a nice day). Toilets available at Altrincham Interchange (20p). Paid car parking in Altrincham town centre car parks.
