A walk with a difference! Starting with a short train ride from Arundel to Amberley, we will make our way back across the South Downs with some spectacular views, a meander along the River Arun with views of Arundel Castle, before arriving to historic Arundel town centre which has an abundance of independent shops, along with eateries, ice cream parlous & pubs.
As this walk was so well reviewed in 2024, I thought I'd run it again this year & am hoping for similar weather!
For those travelling by car, we will meet at Arundel Train Station in good time for the 10.54am train.
For those travelling by public transport, we will meet at Amberley Train Station at 11.00am.
Please note you will need to use the Apcoa Connect parking service to pay for station parking (£2.70).
We will take the 10.54 train - the journey time to Amberley is just 4 mins - the ticket cost is £3.60 per person - you can buy in advance on thetrainline.com
We will have a coffee break along the way and stop for lunch at Burpham - please bring a packed lunch though we may have time to stop for a quick drink at the pub there!
The walk will finish at Arundel town centre - after which there will be the option of post-walk drinks &/or ice cream - followed by a very short walk back to the station car park.
Dogs welcome with well behaved owners!
