A 9 mile walk from Liss station via part of the route of the old Longmoor Military Railway, Greatham, Hawkley, and onto the Shoulder of Mutton before continuing to Petersfield.
The length and total climbing of about 900ft make this a moderate walk, but it will be done at a leisurely pace to allow the appreciation of the varied countryside- fields, woods, and some great views,as well as historical factoids. The ground has been hard, but any recent rain will make chalk paths slippery. Please note that anyone who walks ahead and is out of sight of the leader will do so at their own risk and may not be covered by our insurance. Thanks for your understanding.
