Welcome to Capital Walkers, the friendly London Ramblers group for people aged 40+. We walk every weekend and usually at least once during the week.
Amersham circular 12 mile walk
A brisk 2.5 to 3 miles per hour varied circular Chiltern walk, taking in various villages, woods, good tracks and countryside, which can be muddy after heavy rains.
Some hills namely the one from Amersham station to Old Amersham and back, but generally undulating with some great views .
We pass through Mop End and onto Little Kingshill for lunch after 7 miles where there are benches for picnics, please bring your own lunch.
After lunch we walk the South Buck Way passing through little Missenden back to Old Amersham and then the slog up the hill to the station !!
Lots of Tea shops and pubs in old Amersham and upper Amersham
There are toilets at Amersham station.
Travel
Catch the 9.56 train from London Marylebone arriving Amersham 10.32.
Return trains 27/57 back to London Marylebone
Walk starts 10.45 estimated end approximately 4pm.
No booking required.
