Overview

An opportunity to enjoy fabulous scenic views across open heathland along with the peace and quiet of woodland on this walk, which is split 50/50 between the 2 distinct landscapes.  Starting from the beautiful Andrew's Mare Lake, we head south and west across Withybed Bottom towards the Canadian Memorial.   From here we pass through Highland Water Inclosure on our way back to the start.  Along the way we cross rivers and streams, which are always popular spots on our Rambles.  Despite the length and lack of stiles, the walk is rated moderate due to a few longish, but not steep, inclines.  It will, however, be taken at a leisurely pace.
