Varying terrain visiting two beauty spots with contrasting history, Anglers Country park, a 40 year old transformed Opencast mine site and Nostell Priory, 300 year old landscaped parkland by Lancelot "Capability" Brown. Good paths, 3 stiles, possibly livestock but definitely waterfowl! Please bring a packed lunch and drink. Toilets at start, lunch and finish. Optional cafe at the end.
Please note this walk and the one on 23rd August from the same start point go in totally opposite directions.
Haw Park Lane, Wintersett, WF4 2EB Car parking fee payable. Recommend extra time to enjoy the Country Park, Visitor Centre and cafe after the walk.
