We are the Wakefield and District Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The walk follows the Wakefield Way for most of its length and the paths are generally good. The land is undulating. There are 5 stiles. Coffee break at Newmillerdam and picnic lunch at Notton. There are toilets at the start and finish, at Notton if the village hall is open and also at Newmillerdam if people have a key.
The Visitor Centre at Anglers Country Park is hosting a free art exhibition "Tony Wade: Boundary" which depicts 60 pictures painted whilst walking the Wakefield Boundary.
