We are the Wakefield and District Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Circular walk from Walton Village Hall. We proceed along The Balk in a southerly direction. Crossing the once Leeds to Sheffield rail line (now rarely used) and Chevet Lane to reach Bleakley Dike. Then into Bushcliff Wood and Newmillerdam Country Park for lunch by the Boathouse. From here to Hill Top and Pledwick before crossing the golf course to Gallows Hill. Finally reaching Common Lane to return to our start point. Toilets available before the walk in the Village Hall.
Walk will be followed by our AGM in the Village Hall.
Dogs on a short lead welcome on the walk.
