On this section of the Wales Coast Path, we’ll leave the wide, sandy bay of Lligwy Beach behind and follow the trail north along one of Anglesey’s most rugged and atmospheric stretches of coastline. The path takes us above rocky coves and low cliffs, with far-reaching views across the Irish Sea and a real sense of wildness.
We’ll pass quiet inlets, grassy headlands, and stretches of open farmland, where the sea is never far from view. This part of the coast feels remote and untouched, with plenty of opportunities to pause, take photos, and enjoy the sound of the waves below.
As we approach Amlwch, the landscape opens out once again, giving us a rewarding finish with expansive coastal views and a strong sense of having explored a lesser-known but beautiful corner of Anglesey.
