From the church we follow the Tabular Hills walk until we arrive in Hutton-le-Hole (toilets available). After a refreshment break we head east along the road to Mary Magdelene Well. We then join the footpath which takes us above Camomile Farm and continues down over Tranmire Beck and then up onto Askew Rigg. We then walk down a narrow lane to Lower Askew and continue south through Scarth Wood to arrive at Appleton Mill Farm. We then head up the road joining Hamley Lane which leads us back to Appleton-le-Moors.
Muddy and slippery in places so gaiters and walking poles are recommended.
