Our walk takes us to Gardners End and along Back Lane, an old Roman road. We turn off Back Lane and make our way to Moor Green and Muncher's Green before joining Chain Walk and heading towards Bassus Green via Lord's Wood and St John's Wood. Our return to Ardeley takes us through Church Farm.
We will be walking on grassy paths, tree-lined paths, cinder tracks and quiet lanes. Ground is uneven in parts with tree roots in woodland areas
After the walk, refreshments are available at the Jolly Waggoner.
The Jolly Waggoner, - we can use the pub car park if staying for a drink. There is also parking on the nearby roads.
