This circular walk in gently undulating countryside takes in a landscape that has scarcely changed for centuries. The area is known for its many thatched cottages, country lanes with hardly any traffic and its rural way of life.
At the end of the walk will be an opportunity for refreshments at the Jolly Waggoner, the Countryside Alliance 2026 nominated pub of the year for the East of England.
Starting point of the walk: meet outside the thatched village hall, The Green, Ardeley, SG2 7AH. Please park considerately around the village.
Additional Notes: There is no need to pre-book or contact the leader in advance. If already a Ramblers member, please bring your Ramblers card (or membership details on the app) as we submit a register to Ramblers before we start the walk. Walkers who are completely new to Ramblers are welcome to attend up to three walks prior to joining, after which we will ask that you sign up to become a member.
