Overview

From our starting point at the village hall we will follow the road throuigh Botolph Claydon to emerge on a high ridge lookinh towards Quainton Hill in the distance. We will follow a grassy track along the ridge and then continue on a permissive path around Runts Wood. We will continue on the Bernwood Jubilee Trail pasing Finemerehill House and then gently descending through the woods on a Land Rover track. A quiet country lane will then take us to a short stretch of road walking and the entrance to Claydon Estate. We will have our picnic lunch next to Claydon House where there are toilets.

Lunch will be followed by a visit to the village of Middle Claydon where an old red phone box has been locked and is being preserved as a feature of the village. An easy two mile walk will then return us to our starting point in East Claydon
