Overview

An easy walk around the Hollinsclough area over fields, tracks and lanes.

We make stops for elevenses and lunch so bring food and drink with you. Also highly advisable to have spare clothing and water proofs with you. (Peak District weather can be liable to change rapidly)

From the start we will walk past Earl Sterndale crossing fields to the hamlet of Hollinsworth (cafe and an honesty cabin available ) then via track and lane to Glutton Bridge. From there to Crowdicote returning to Earl Sterndale using quiet tracks and lanes.

The terrain is mainly undulating and, weather permitting, there will be fine views of the spectacular Park House and Chrome Hills for most of the day. The walk does not include ascents of either of these hills.

The car park is not signed and is on a large patch of ground at the roadside with ample parking space. Best approach A515 from Buxton to Brialow Bar where turn left at traffic lights onto B5053 towards Longnor. After approx 1.5 miles take turn on left onto unnamed road. Offroad parking on large area on left.
