Overview

A circular walk through woods, fields and back lanes. From Dore & Totley station we walk through Poynton Wood, along Totley Brook to Gillfield Wood and old Totley, returning via Old Hay Brook, Dore village and Abbeydale Park.

One short steep climb on steps near start of walk, otherwise gentle ascents and descents. No stiles. Several break off points.

Catch the 98 bus from Arundel Gate A123 at 9.42.  The 97 bus (also from AG123) and 218 bus (at 9.40 from the transport interchange) also stop at Dore & Totley station. Leader will meet outside the station.

NB the car park at the station will be closed. Alternative parking is available at Dore Masonic Hall which will be signposted off Dore Road. There will be no parking on Dore Road itself.

No dogs please.
