Overview

A steady climb along green tracks and across wild moorland with extensive views to reach the summit of Gwaunceste Hill (542m).  The source of the River Arrow is located here and the river is followed down to the valley. Return across the  hillside and along tracks to Lynheilyn Lake. A chance to enjoy the wonderful Radnorshire scenery.

The walk commemorates the life of past Mortimer Chair Pam Johnson, one of the originators of the Arrow Valley Trail booklet which follows the course of the River Arrow. Some rough moorland walking.

Car sharing is advised as parking is very limited.
