We are the Strathkelvin Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We will walk from Lenzie Station through the mining villages of Auchinloch and Cardowan, crossing Cardowan Moss, which can be muddy in parts, followed by pavement walking through Garthamloch, past the Fort Shopping Centre and finishing at Provan Hall, an A listed medieval building with a walled garden. The 19X bus stops at the Hall and the Fort and is express back to Cathedral Street in central Glasgow. Please remember your bus pass if you have one.
Please note there are no public toilets on this walk. There are at both the Fort and Provan Hall. Entry to Provan Hall is free. Lenzie to Stepps is partly on a fairly new path but also includes a short but steep walk beside the road.
