A circular walk from Rowardennan on the West Highland Way.
This is the easier of today's two walks, the other being the hike up Ben Lomond which takes part at the same time.
The low level WHW track along the loch side is taken to just after Rowchoish Bothy. This track is quite rugged in places with rocks and tree roots to navigate but it has great views across Loch Lomond looking towards Ben Narnain and The Cobbler. The ground is quite firm underfoot and there are only a few short sections with some mud.
Soon after the bothy, the lower WHW track rejoins the higher level track which we then follow back to Rowardennan.
The plan is to meet up with the Ben Lomond group in the Rowardennan Hotel for refreshments at the end of the walk
This is at the Easier end of Moderate. Local Grade Easy B
Car Parking at Ben Lomond Car Park. Fee is £5 for All Day
There are two car park ticket machines, one takes contactless, but was unserviceable on the day of the recce, and the other takes coins. Please bring enough coins in case of any issues with the contactless ticket machine.
Toilets at car park.
Refreshments available in Rowardennan Hotel only a short walk from the car park.
