Overview

Autumn is creeping up on us with its offers of vibrant colours, both underfoot and overhead in the trees. This walk will head from the Barrow Wake viewpoint near Birdlip, through the SSI of the Cotswold Beechwood National Nature Reserve, to appreciate the golden leafiness (and occasional toadshrooms underfoot) before reaching Painswick for lunch, and then returning to the cars via the Cotswold way, where cheese rolling is unlikely at this time of year.
