Follow in the footsteps of Edward Thomas, starting and finishing at the pub where he liked to drink and which was the subject of his first poem; and walking some of the paths and byways between his home in Froxfield and the Pub With No Name (the White Horse) that inspired his poetry.
We will be walking down part of Ashford Hanger, a holloway, to Warren Corner, before making a fairly steep ascent up Oakshott Hanger to just above Shoulder of Mutton Hill, before returning along Old Litten Lane and then Green Lane back to our start point.
THIS IS A ALTON AUTUMN WALKING FESTIVAL 2025 WALK AND MUST BE BOOKED VIA THE ALTON TOWN COUNCIL WEBSITE.
