Overview

Starting from the Reservoir, we head in the Amberley direction. We then skirt to the south of the Bear Hotel and on to Roborough Common.   Passing Rodborough Fort we circle back to the start. Common land and tracks, muddy in one place. No stiles. 1 stop.

Take Stroud Road (A419) towards Minchinhampton at the roundabout at the top of Cowcombe Hill, follow the road past the Ragged Cot until you get to Tom Longs Post in the middle of the Common, turn left and immediately right onto Culver Road. The reservoir is quarter of mile. Parking by the road.
