A circular walk of about 11.5 miles. From the Parish Hall in Middle Wallop we cross the Wallop Brook, and head north-east along tracks and woodland paths towards the Portway, passing through farms named after US states. We then head west below Quarley Hill and its hill fort. We then turn south through Palestine and Over Wallop, back to the start.
This walk is inspired by the link below.
There is a mix of tracks, paths which were muddy and quiet roads.
There are 5 or 6 stiles and two busy roads to cross.
Please arrive in good time for a 10am start and let the leader know in advance if you are coming. We may start early if all participants have arrived.
Don't forget drinks and a packed lunch.
