Overview

This will be a lovely walk, starting with a steepish descent & continuing almost entirely on well-maintained footpaths and tracks through a varied, occasionally undulating landscape of meadows, bridleways, woods and open countryside. There are 2 field crossings which can easily be avoided if the paths haven't been reinstated by then. One footpath is accessed by about 6 steep steps and there is limited road walking on very minor roads with little traffic. The last 3/4 mile is along Smiths End Lane, past Barley Cricket Club and back onto London Road to the cars.
