Overview

PLEASE BOOK by using the Contact link: Email contact.

A pleasant, circular walk which is a repeat of last year, but in reverse. From the Crown Inn we head south west to Harlington to join the TPT path along the Dearne Way towards Denaby Ings. A north easterly ascending route takes us across fields to High Melton, where we turn north west to reach Barnburgh Cliff. A descent south west from Stables Wood along St. Helen’s Lane takes us straight back to the Crown.

DOGS WELCOME, BUT MUST BE KEPT ON A SHORT, FIXED LEAD

Walkers are warmly invited to join Brenda and I for lunch and/or drinks in the pub at the end of the walk. Staff couldn't be more accommodating and helpful in their hospitality so it would be good to reciprocate their goodwill, as we did last year. Who could resist a fish finger sandwich served in a crusty roll, with mushy peas and chips !!!  Lots of other options too....

PLEASE NOTE: THE MANAGER OF THE CROWN INN HAS ASKED THAT WE PARK IN THE CAR PARK TO THE REAR OF THE PUB, ON DONCASTER ROAD FROM HARLINGTON, BEHIND THE PICNIC BENCHES.
