Overview

Please book by using e-mail contact link - PRE-BOOKING WITH WALK LEADER IS ESSENTIAL.

Just the walk to burn off a few of those Christmas turkey and pudding calories, setting off from Old Moor RSPB Dearne Valley car park, heading north to skirt Wombwell Ings before emerging at Darfield. The Dearne Way takes us to the hamlet of Edderthorpe, then west to enter Horse Carr Wood before turning south into Ardsley, passing one of the Dearne Valley's few trig points at 335 ft. en route !

A trail south leads us directly onto the Dove Valley Trail and TPT, for a leisurely return to Old Moor.

Dogs welcome, but must be on a short, fixed lead
