We are the Taff Ely Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
From Barry Dock train station we will walk to Trinity street where some of Gavin and Stacey was filmed. Approx 1.5 miles from there we will walk to Porthkerry Park then on to the Knap. From there we will hopefully cross the beach (if tide is in we will take the road option), then walk the headland to Whitmore and Jackson Bays. From there will walk past the fairground and through the marina to arrive back at the train station.
There are no stiles on this walk but a few short steep inclines, hence the moderate rating.
Entry to the parking is via the grounds of the Council Offices with parking via the ramp to the top tier.
