Overview

From Baslow Nether End, the route takes us up Bar Road and onto Eaglestone Flat. We continue to Clod Hall crossroads and then walk along the A621 for half a mile (grass verge) to turn onto Big Moor. Depending on underfoot conditions, we will either cross the moor passing the stone circle, or follow the rough track along the stream, to Bar Brook reservoir. Beyond Bar Brook, the route crosses to Flask Edge at Saltersitch Bridge and continues across Totley Moss to Wimble Holme Hill where we descend into Totley Bents before a final short climb to the Cross Scythes.

A short coffee break is planned at Wellington Monument after the main uphill section of the walk.
