A circular walk exploring Bath’s 7 beautiful Georgian Crescents and architecture with superb views across the city. Covering both the more famous landmarks and those hidden and lesser-known Crescents. Starting from Bath Spa station along the River Avon towards Green Park Station and then Norfolk Crescent. From here we continue up through Victoria Park and the famous Royal Crescent. Then climbing up through the disused golf course further on towards the smaller Cavendish and Somerset Place Crescents. From here continuing then onto the splendid Lansdown Crescent from which it is a short walk to Camden Crescent, before heading downhill to Hedgemead Park. Then onto Sydney Gardens to get onto the Kennet and Avon Canal path. Continuing along the canal path towards Widcombe Locks and climbing up to the hill to Widcombe Crescent. Finally heading back down to the river and finishing at Bath Spa station. The walk being in and around the city areas of Bath, the route will use good footpaths/pavements with some hills, plus the crossing of roads.
Please bring a picnic lunch and drinks.
