We go steadily uphill from Bathford towards Banner Down then head west to St Catherine’s Brook. We follow the Limestone Link up the valley leaving it for a climb up to Charmy Down and then head downhill to Northend. We walk through Batheaston and cross the River Avon skirting around Bathampton Meadows before cutting back towards Bathford. Two long ascents and a long, tricky descent (poles might be useful). Last couple of miles mainly road and tracks. Bring provision for two stops.
