Overview

A circular walk, starting in Beckington, then over to Lullington via the River Frome valley. We cross a couple of fields to the Orchardleigh estate which is now an extensive golf course.  After walking round part of the lake, we make our way back to Beckington via the Frome valley.

We will have a brief coffee stop by a charming little church on an island near the lake, and after viewing the water lilies on the lake, stop for a lunch break by the River Frome.  There are eleven stiles on this walk but all in good condition.  There may be livestock in the fields by the river.  'The Woolpack' pub in Beckington is where refreshments are available at the end of the walk.  So join us.

Parking is available along Bath Road in Beckington, just off the A36. Meet 9.50 for 10 am start outside 'Mes Amies' cafe, halfway down the main street.
