Join us for a dog-friendly walk enjoying superb countryside views in and around Wellow. Some uphill sections, and we will stop briefly at Stoney Littleton Long Barrow - one of the country’s finest accessible examples of a Neolithic chambered tomb. Dating from about 3500 BC, it is 30 metres long and access is permitted if walkers wish to look inside with a torch.
Walking boots recommended and you may find walking poles useful. Please bring your ICE (In Case of emergency) card, or ask the leader for one.
Please bring a drink and a snack for a refreshment stop during the walk.
Everyone welcome to join us for refreshments after the walk in the Fox and Badger, very close to the Station Road Car Park.
There is no public transport to Wellow at the weekend. If you would like a lift from the Odd Down area of Bath, please contact the leader, and she may be able to assist.
