Overview

A linear dog friendly walk starting from The Forum building in Bath city centre. Heading first alongside the river Avon towards the Kennet and Avon Canal to follow the towpath in the direction of Sydney Gardens. From here we head down through the fields and towards the River Avon, along footpaths until the Toll Bridge at Bathampton. Then we use the new footpath to Batheaston, stopping for lunch at the riverside secret garden area, then head up Little Solsbury Hill - a steady climb but very worthwhile for the views back to Bath and countryside all around. Returning back to Batheaston to get the bus back into the city centre.

May be muddy through some fields after rain.

Please bring light refreshments and drink and wear suitable footwear.

Bring bus pass or credit card for bus trips.

Parking:  Lansdown Park and Ride, Newbridge P&R, or Odd Down P&R.

Many thanks to our friends at Somer Valley Ramblers for inviting us to join this walk.
