Although this walk is quite strenuous, on B+/ A grade terrain, it is short at less than five miles, out and back by the same route. The views from the summit are amazing and on a good day you should be able to see Lochs Goil, Fyne, Restil, Lomond and Awe and the Firth of Clyde to Mull, Arran, the Cumbraes and Ailsa Craig. Ben Lomond, Ben Ime, The Cobbler and Ben Narnain surround us.
Sections can be muddy but it is mainly an obvious path of rocky rubble and rooty vegetation. There is one rock face to be climbed and walkers will be advised to do this facing the rock with poles stowed away.
We will have a tea break half way up and lunch just after the top.
