Overview

We start at the lay-by opposite Glengoyne Distillery and go straight up Dumgoyne which is a steep wee climb to 1400ft.  We then come down a little to go around the back of Dumgoyne and set off along a series hills, The Canny Tops to reach Garloch Hill, a total ascent of 3238ft.  The views are lovely from Glasgow to Loch Lomond.

We then re-trace our steps to pick up a well defined natural track that takes us downwards in a loop through High Lettre farm and mature woodland, returning via the distillery and to our parked cars.
