Overview

From Biddulph Grange Country Park we plan to take the cycle route along the former Knotty railway south-westwards past rolling countryside.  The intended route then rises along tracks and lanes to Mow Cop’s intriguing castle with fabulous views, before an airy, part-wooded ridge on the Gritstone Trail meanders north-easterly back towards the start.
