Overview

From car park go back to Grange Road and cross into Grangefields to take path down to A527. Turn right and cross into Baileys Bank ( care needed, bad bend, fast traffic) and up to disused railway track. Go south for about 1.5 miles to track on right to Woodside farm, then field paths and roads up Mow Cop, round Castle to Old Man of Mow. Take Gritstone Trail along Ridge to Nick i' th' Hill. then onto Staffordshire Way down through Higher Whitemoor Farm to Biddulph Valley Way. Back towards Biddulph to leave track at Baileys Bank, cross A527 and up through Grangefields back to car park.
