Overview

We start from Rudyard Station and follow the Canal Feeder towards Leek. At the footbridge, we turn right and ascend to Lyme House, then right along Devils Lane for about 50m, take the path on the left and descend to (another) Lyme House and cross Beggars Lane before climbing up to Horton..

Passing through the village we take the path opposite Horton Hall, continue to the road towards Lea Laughton. We pass along the road by the Village Hall and then follow the path to Taylors Barn Farm. Passing by the farm we continue to Coney Greave before ascending to Dairy Bank House and along the ridge to Horton churchyard for lunch. Afterwards we turn right and go down the lane to take the path to Rudyard.

A couple of steep ascents involved. Mainly moderate but a couple of strenuous bits.
