This walk starts in Eartham Wood, then goes out to the downs on Stane Street. We'll continue up to Bignor Hill, round to Houghton Forest before cutting across to the top of Great Down for lunch. After lunch we walk down towards Slindon, turn north for the Folly, then return back through the woods.
This is a hilly walk. We should have great views both sides of the downs. We'll have a mid morning stop and plenty of drinks stops.
Woods, paths, tracks, views, SDW, Roman road, summer flowers.
The car park is The Eartham Forestry Commission car park. It is north of Eartham village by about a mile.
